About:

Nalini K Sharma, M.D. is Assistant Professor of Medicine and a member of the full-time faculty in the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the State University of New York, Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY.

Dr. Sharma completed her medical training at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA in 2002 and residency training in Internal Medicine at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC in 2005. She completed her Gastroenterology fellowship at Washington Hospital Center/Georgetown University Hospital in 2008. After completing her training in Gastroenterology, Dr. Sharma joined full-time faculty at SUNY Downstate.

Dr. Sharma’s area of interest is chronic viral hepatitis and hepatocellular carcinoma. She is a member of the American Gastroenterological Association, American Association for the Study of Liver Disease, and American College of Gastroenterology.
