About: Adam J. Goodman, M.D. is an Assistant Professor of Medicine, and Assistant Director of Endoscopy, and an active member of the full time faculty in the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the State University of New York, Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. Dr. Goodman completed his medical school training at New York University School of Medicine, New York, NY in 2000 and his residency in Internal Medicine at North Shore University Hospital, Manhasset, NY in 2003. He completed his gastroenterology fellowship training at New York University Medical Center in 2006 where he also trained in the field of advanced therapeutic endoscopy; including:
After completing his training in gastroenterology, Dr. Goodman remained on the faculty at New York University Medical Center as a Clinical Instructor of Medicine on the tenure track in the Division of Gastroenterology until joining the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at SUNY Downstate in September 2007. During his time at NYU he was an active member of the division; consulting and caring for patients with gastrointestinal disorders, teaching gastroenterology fellows and medicine residents, performing endoscopic procedures and concentrating on therapeutic endoscopy, and participating in clinical research. Dr. Goodman is a member of the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE), the American Gastroenterological Association (AGA), and the American College of Gastroenterology (ACG).
